Alimuom ng Kahapon

After the glaring heat of summer, the first rainfall in May signals the onset of the rainy season. But the raindrops onto the dry land bring vapours that may be unfavourable to ingest, vapours that waft off from the land carrying the toxic scents under our noses. This is Alimuom. Despite the toxicity, Alimuom brings changes, rebirth of the land, a hint for a new season, new beginnings, and new hope.

"Alimuom ng Kahapon" is a film about relationships that develop amidst contrasting ideals and principles. It is set in Manila when the country is embattled by scams involving pork barrels. Just like Alimuom, there could be unwanted secrets that get released in the open.

This film stars Star Circle Quest 2004 alumnus DM Sevilla who plays the role of Nathan, a lifestyle photographer who was sent as a reliever to cover a rally for the newspaper he is working for. His attention was caught by Emman, a student activist, who was rallying against tuition fee increase. Emman is played by the 2006 Golden Screen Breakthrough Performance by an Actor, Angelo Ilagan. Nathan developed an interest on Emman and started following rallies just to take pictures of him. Finally, Nathan got acquainted with Emman after avoiding an event that went out of hand. A special relationship grew between them. But the relationship was never smooth as it was full of clashes, a love-hate relationship as both gets caught up with their differences as they were forced to make choices.

The film also stars Manuel Chua, Sebastian Castro, Marq Dollentes, Rex Lantano and Ford Fernandez, with the special participation of Jong Cuenco, Alizon Andres, Godofredo Dela Cruz and Angelina Kanapi. The screenplay was written by Rosswil H. Hilario, Rolando Inocencio, and Julius Lumiqued and directed by Rosswil H. Hilario under Mountain Trail Productions in cooperation with Jimgital Productions.

Wayback Wednesdays for B. Braun Avitum and Me!

Back in 2009, at almost of same days as now, when I was still working with B. Braun Avitum Philippines, I was tasked by my boss to work on the corporate milestones. So I tried to create the video edit from old Powerpoint presentations to come up with this. The actual video clips were with my lowly Canon Powershot camera. It may be amateurish but then it must just be an indication that I really do have some inclination to showbiz... :P
